Jovany covered, Edward McCain's -  I'll Be.  It was, beautiful, heartfelt, and soulful.

Steven Tyler had this to say ... "Giovanni, Holy Shipyards!! Wait, do I need this for that.  No man you brought it again -- and, nice guns man.  I mean -- it was beautiful, you did it again, and I loved it"

During the opening package, Steven Tyler said this, and we agree ... "Giovanni, something real special going on there"
 
Jennifer Lopez was exactly right ... this was the first time,  America got a real chance to hear what Jovany could do!!!  He was amazing, so amazing.  We couldn't wait until the show was over to VOTE!  1-866-436-5702 and vote we did!!!  By the end of that night, physical and mental exhaustion started to set in.  We had done all we could do to promote him via, word of mouth, Twitter and Facebook.  Now it was time to pray, we had done enough for him. ♪

The Top 12 guys took the stage last night on American Idol and among them was 23-year-old Cuban contestant Jovany Barreto, who did a pretty good job of singing Edwin McCain's "I'll Be."
The judges gave Jovany mixed reviews: Randy Jackson said he basically mimicked the original song without bringing in anything unique, while Steven Tyler yelled, "Holy shipyards!" (That's a compliment coming from the wacky Tyler). And J.Lo seemed to like it too: "I'm happy right now," she said.
